Who do you trust that's close to you?

I was reading through John Maxwell's Law of the Inner Circle from his book "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" and reviewing his video on the topic.  I have to say that this is one of my favourite laws!  As we know, "A leader's potential is determined by those closest to him."

We are encouraged to think about the potential increase that a team can add to our leadership by reviewing three questions:

1) Who is closest to you?

2) Who is on your team?

3) Do you need a team?

After a recent incident that I observed, I thought of another point that John makes that everyone carried two buckets; one carrying water and the other carrying gasoline.

As you build your business, ask yourself "How are you using the two buckets that you are carrying?"
