About my business:
Colin is the Marketing Director of BNI New Zealand, a director of Iron Road Ltd and a professional speaker and writer.

While this is an outsourced function, Colin manages - at an executive level - all marketing and communication functions for BNI New Zealand.

Colin is also the official spokesman for BNI New Zealand, and is responsible for building relationships with media and partners, including Hospice NZ, as well as representing BNI at all public speaking engagements (when BNI receives requests to talk at those functions).

With a specialisation in influencer marketing, public relations and copywriting, Colin believes that in this era of low trust, social media and word of mouth dominance, a different approach to marketing is needed.

"We have to engage the market with compelling 'stories'; we have to influence the people who influence the customer's buying behaviour, we have to join the online conversation."

His business is to develop strategies for clients using compelling messages, stories, influencer marketing and other tactics to increase leads and improve conversion rates.

Cheers

Hi Colin
Here are some ideas to get you started ‘ninging’ on the BNIonline site;
-Got to your ‘My Page’ and fill in the gaps:
- Your status (not whether you’re married, but what you’re working on, or thinking about)
- Your profile information (about you, your web address etc)
- Upload your profile pic (very important!!)
- Do you have any BNI / business pics or vids to share?
- Add some ‘apps’ to your page (applications eg RSS adds in your other blog feed)
-Leave a message for another member on their ‘wall’.
-Add a discussion eg; what’s a recurring issue for BNI members?
-Ask a question eg; what’s the diference between a lead and a referral? Do you know of a good commercial photographer? Etc etc
-Set up a group eg BNI Head Office, BNI Newbies etc etc.
-Or start your own blog eg; about working at BNI, about networking tips etc
Have fun :)
