User Guidelines and Policies

Terms of Service: BNI community User Guidelines and Policies

We encourage learning, sharing and expression in our BNIonline community and we also want to provide members and visitors a positive, safe, spam free and non-offensive experience, so we support only good social networking practice and etiquette.

Please note good social networking practice is similar to the BNI 'giver's gain' philosophy; offer value to fellow members (with relevant content or advice) and listen first to fellow members.

Being pushy, salesy, talking only about yourself, only promoting yourself without regard for other members is not considered good social networking practice - and is not good for your business, your brand or your reputation.

Also note:

Membership of BNIonline is by invitation only to BNI members. Admin will not approve membership to the community by non-members.

Admin will delete any spam blogs (splogs) and any content promoting business activities that are connected with splogs or blogs .

We do not allow content that features adult content (nudity included), promote gambling, promote illegal activities, promote hate, promote MLM activities, feature warez. Shill sites intended to do nothing more than garner traffic for another site are also rejected.

This is to keep our site both useful and also to cut down on spam.

By clicking ‘I agree to the terms of service’ during registration, you warrant that you will not upload any unacceptable content.

BNI NZ defines unacceptable content as anything included or linked that;

- Is used to abuse, harass, stalk or threaten a person(s).

- Is libelous, defamatory, knowingly false or misrepresents another person.

- Infringes upon any copyright, trademark, trade secret or patent of any third party. (If you quote or excerpt someone’s content, it is your responsibility to provide proper attribution to the original author. For a clear definition of proper attribution and fair use, please see The Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Legal Guide for Bloggers at this URL: http://www.eff.org/bloggers/lg/.)

- Violates any obligation of confidentiality.

- Violates the privacy, publicity, moral or any other right of any third party.

You also warrant that you have all the necessary rights to upload and distribute all images, content, code and other materials on the site and that you will not upload viruses.
