BNI New Zealand online community

There are heaps of social media and online tools, platforms, apps and sites available - most for free. Here are some of mine - what are yours?

- www.tweetdeck.com - to help manage your twitter (and also FB and LI). Makes using twitter a breeze (thou the new twitter released over the past couple of weeks just made it a whole lot easier)

- www.netvibes.com - a dashboard to monitor all your blogs and social media mentions and analytics - saves a HEAP of time.

- www.surveymonkey.com - running a survey? this is a great way to run an online survey (or use polldaddy for a poll)

- www.eventbrite.com - a fabulous site to use if you're running an event. Set it up and direct people here for tickets etc.

- www.picnik.com - for photo editing and resizing and fixing your photos

www.teuxdeux.com - for 'to do ' lists - simple and effective.

www.xtranormal.com - here's a way to waste a few hours; make your own movie using text. lots of fun....

www.slideshare.net - have you uploaded your presentation yet?

Hi Fiona,
I use tweetdeck everyday. Use Google Alerts quite regularly as well. Great when researching a company or gathering material for presentations.

Hadn't heard of teuxdeux but one I'm finding very useful is Evernote. You know when you find some really great info on the net and you bookmark it or save it to hard drive and then can't find it, Evernote is the place to store it. It also saves it almost intuitively for you, so makes it so easy to find. Use Mailchimp for email marketing campaigns.

Probably my favourite business networking tool is Linkedin. If you want an Adobe style digital photo editing package for free try Paint.net.

Cheers,
Lee.
Hootsuite.com for monitoring and managing my social media (twitter, FB & Linkedin)
Nutshellmail - for a snapshot of social media monitoring twice a day
Constantcontact.com - for managing my blog e-mail database
Thanks for sharing those Fi.

HootSuite for me and loving the integration of Eventrite & MailChimp. I'm also a fan of Twaitter for retweeting 'repeatable' messages even if it doesn't please everyone. As you said at your BNI seminar in ChCh, there really are no rules and it's a case of experimenting. I practice 'review and renew' and will adjust tactics acccordingly.

FYI, I've just been introduced to an online CRM that integrates with Google Apps and Xero. I like the fact you can monitor the value of your funnel by managing your todo list against a project/client/prospect with a monetary value attached to it. This looks very useful and will be getting some more attention from me... http://capsulecrm.com/

I'm looking forward to getting into netvibes. I've unsubscribed to a whole host of email newsletters and see the 'newsfeed' route being a far better way to leverage my time.
