Tried running but find trudging the streets boring (as well as dangerous)? ... get into trail running. In the bush, forests, beaches... just about anywhere except roads.

There tends to be more ups and downs, lots of mud and water and a heap of exhausting fun.

Race 6 of this years series today... I missed race 1, but 2 x 1st's and 3 x 2nd's in the Vets (yes, I am an old buggar) has won me the series... Yippee!!! Still to be 100% confirmed, but I was leading after the previous race and won today... that's a pretty good sign.

Anyone interested in learning more about trail-running drop me a line...

As a foot note... I got up real early to leave for Auckland this am and bashed my foot into a door... breaking my small toe... so raced the whole 16.5km with a broken toe today... sore, but nothing was going to stop me getting that series!

well done, especially on the series!! and on persevering with a broken toe; I think I may have opted to go back to bed!
I have only known you a short while, but I very much doubt that you would have gone back to bed... you probably would have broken a toe on the other side to even things up...lol

not sure about that, when it comes to running I may never have left bed! I admire you but would rather opt for walking and yoga myself.
