Hi guys,  I have come up with a 'game' to increase referrals and add a little spice into the groups.  Basically you give each member three other members names (sealed till the end of the meeting) and their goal is to get as many referrals within the next week as they can for those three members.  if they do get a referral for any or all of the three names they have then they have to seal that name to the back of the referral so you can monitor how it is working.  The main two objectives for this is to increase referrals as well as get your members to really listen to the 60 second speakers.  Here is what I said - hope it works for you ;)

Random Referrals

I have a new game for you all – and yes you keep your clothes on!!!

This week we are going to try something a little different, you all would have received three bits of pink card that has names of fellow members when you came in the door, please keep those closed until the end of the meeting.  I know that some of you tune out when the 60 second presentations are on, and I want to help change that, so what I want you all to do is listen carefully to all the 60 second presentations given this morning and the aim of this is to go and get referrals for those three people you have been given for the next meeting.

If you do manage to get a referral for one of your picks, please put the pink card with the referral slip, just so we see how this has worked.

I know three referrals is a stretch, but even gaining one would be great.  It would mean you have listened to the 60 second presentations as well as raise the referrals for the next week. This is very secret squirrel stuff, so please keep those names to yourself and see what we can achieve as a group.

Are there any questions?

Congratulation Sandy, I have heard you speak a few times, and can't wait until you are back in Tauranga speaking again.

I received my ASM accreditation from New Zealand national speakers association last week. It feels good to be on my way to becoming one of the next (and very few) New Zealand based Certified Speaking Professionals

Well done to both Greg and Paul/Rosemary... now that someone else has posted, I will post for the 'real reason' I started this group.

I ran in the Xterra Off-Road Series in Auckland recently over 19km up and down through the mud and water in the Riverhead Forest and won my class (this is where I mumble that it was the vets class).

I run for the challenge and the enjoyment of completeing some phenominally hard trails... but heck it's nice when you win!
