Kiwi book helps to develop art of business networking around the world
Businesses in Switzerland will soon be able to learn how to network 'Kiwi Style' due to the fact that a book about business networking -- 'Beyond the Comfort Zone' written in the depths of the Waikato, has been selected for translation into German, French and Italian by BNI Switzerland.
BNI is the largest business networking organisation for SMEs in the world, with more than 100,000 members in over 40 countries, including New Zealand (which has more than 2,600 business members).
'Beyond the Comfort Zone' was written by ten year BNI member Tony Allwood and is packed with helpful hints and tips to become a better networker.
Tony describes the book as a 'self-help self help' book as he wrote it to focus his mind on his own business networking activities.
BNI Switzerland have an ongoing programme of translating one book per year by BNI founder Dr Ivan Misner, but this year they took chose to translate Tony's book instead. The translation has already begun and publication of the German version is expected before the end of the year.
Originally published last September, the English version of 'Beyond the Comfort Zone' is available world wide (in English) and has been endorsed by BNI Founder Ivan Misner and New Zeland BNI Directory Graham Southwell.
“I am amazed at the response the book has received world wide,” said Tony. “It is a wonderful outcome, but I have had a lot of help and support from Graham Southwell and Mike Tennant of BNI NZ, to whom I am very grateful. It is great that each week I get emails from all over the world from people who are enjoying using the book.”
Though not at the top of the New York Times Best Sellers List (yet) 'Beyond the Comfort Zone' has been well received and has made sales in the USA, Dubai, Australia, England and of course New Zealand.
The English version is available from the BNI New Zealand website at BNI.co.nz.
