Variation on BNI's 10 Minute Presentation

You should all have been shown the BNI 13 steps to a successful presentation system when you did your MSP (you have attended MSP haven't you???).

Well if you are a business whose content can be rather hard to follow or just plain boring and you are having trouble getting through to your team... try this....

Take the BNI template and for the first two sections of the presentation talk about what it is you want to teach... for the last section however you have a quiz! Tell them up front that there will be a quiz and that there will be prizes and encourage them to take notes during your speech.

For the quiz you only need to have 4 or 5 questions about your subject matter and a few Chocolate Fish or similar as prizes... the key is that they will be listening 'actively' and this makes all the difference... and by keeping notes they are further reinforcing your message in their heads! Make them hand their sheet to the person next to them for marking... just like school and have a bit of fun with this bit... it will make what could have been a boring presentation fun and lively and memorable... and that's what it's all about... try it!!!
